As the second largest island in Karlskrona archipelago Aspö has about 500 residents all year around, and a lot more in the summers. Here you can find a grocery store, school and church. The island is perfect for those who want to go pony riding, play golf or tennis, do some fishing or just enjoy the sun and water.
Drottningskär castle is a defensive structure from the 17th century and a part of Karlskronas world heritage. The fort is open to visitors and there is even a restaurant in the old halls.
This old passenger ship is back in Karlskrona archipelago after a tour in Stockholm. With a home port on Aspö it can take up to 90 passengers all around the islands.
The museum for mobile coast artillery is located at the center of the island. It gives you a good look at how things were when the archipelago housed the Swedish military.

A forgotten art still lives here in this old rope making building. The shipyard historical association is happy to show you around and tell you about life on the shipyard.
Karlskrona Maritime Museum was appointed “museum of the year” 2015 and has a lot to offer. Everything from u-boats to ancient figureheads and exhibits about local history.

For those who want to visit the furthest islands outside Karlskrona or just reach Aspö a bit sooner there is a sea taxi service. They have several boats and can take you anywhere in our archipelago.
The islands boating club takes care of our guest harbour and makes sure all nautical visitors are welcome. Visit their website if you plan on visiting Aspö with your own boat.
